Hosta Designs embraces the hand and the digital to create functional, and sometimes nonfunctional, art objects for the home. The collection offers simple objects meant to engage their environment. Inspiration comes from the practice of every day living: serving others, offering comfort, organizing, and creating new traditions.
Many pieces in the collection are named in honor of loved ones, both living and deceased. And were originally given as gifts to those loved ones.

Owner and artist, Thea Augustina Eck, is a visual artist. She has worked with many different materials over the years and with some wonderful artists. Thea cut her digital fabrication chops while working for ShopBot Tools in their education department. Ready for a change of pace, Thea founded Hosta Designs in 2016. She enjoys the challenge of working with wood and current digital practices.
